Dear Classroom Families,
Happy Fall [and almost Fall break]. A number of exciting fall events are on the horizon and we hope that those who are big Fall fans are already partaking in all things pumpkin spice.
A Note from Ms. Lisa:
I want to share with you how very nice it was to have the opportunity to meet with each of you during the goal setting conferences. Your children have some great goals and I am excited to be part of a team of people who will help them get there.
In class we are beginning to talk about time. The children are learning how to read a clock and also how to read a timeline including Earth's timeline. This will help them understand how years and seasons work as we continue. It feels like this year is flying by which means we must be having fun.
Our first classroom field trip is Tuesday, October 25th. We will be visiting the Saguaro Library, a small and fun library, where we will explore all of the many features of a public library and what it can offer us. We will leave the school at 9:45AM and plan to return to the classroom for lunch. We still need a few drivers so if you are yet to submit your volunteer clearance forms to the office, please do so ASAP so that you can assist us with transportation.
As the weather cools, we are looking to plant our fall garden. As before, if you are interested and available to serve on the garden team, please reach out to me directly.
Classroom Contact List:
I am sending along a draft of the classroom family contact list for review. Please note that there is a high likelihood that I missed some information and/or captured it incorrectly. When you access the list, please take a look and ensure that I represented your family contact information correctly. If there are changes to be made, please email me and I will make the corrections. If you do not see your family contact represented, please send me the info that you want captured in the contact list and I will add it. The list is password protected so please utilize the following password to unlock the list: Moore2022.23
A Note from Margo:
Again today, during the afternoon carline, I saw cars approaching 28th St. from Meadowbrook instead of joining the line of cars that have been patiently waiting along 28th St. for several minutes. It does not seem fair to try to then merge onto 28th St. in front of all those other people. In addition, if you have a child that is considered a walker, they need to leave campus by walking. Parking in the visitor parking lot by the admin building and walking to the walker gate to retrieve your child and take them to your car is not fair to those who are following the carline rules. Please support our efforts to have a fair, safe carline process.
